Roll out the runway — Bravo will premiere its latest foray into fashion reality TV, launching its aptly titled The Fashion Show on May 7 (10 p.m, ET) with a fleet of 15 designers from around the globe. Hosted by Kelly Rowland and Isaac Mizrahi, the new show will give the creative hopefuls the chance to sell their designs and win $125,000. Also joining the hosts on the judging panel: Fern Mallis, the senior vice president of IMG Fashion, and a familiar face for Project Runway viewers.
In a twist, The Fashion Show will allow viewers to participate and pick the winning designer among the finalists. Each week the contestants will be given two challenges, one that will be judged by Harpers Bazaar special projects director Laura Brown, and one elimination challenge.
Curious about who will be feverishly sewing this season? Bravo has posted a video of the 15 designers colorfully introducing themselves, followed by additional videos featuring the The Fashion Show judges. Keep reading to watch the clips.
Sucks that Bravo lost Project Runway.. it'll definitely be interesting to see how many people tune in to watch The Fashion Show (which is pretty much a PR knockoff) and if the audience of PR will remain faithful to the show and follow the show's move to Lifetime. Heidi Klum rocks.
Meet the competitors and hear from the judges : [X]. I wonder if Mizrahi will play the Kors card. I hope not. Maybe I'll tune in to watch Kelly Rowland.
