Reading about efforts like Save Fashion make me want to be in New York City.. especially tomorrow for the opening of Save Fashion at Port Authority. The month-long curated pop-up store is slated to feature local designers including Off the Grid, The Bubble, The Vault, Agoraphobia, Designer's Depot, Shop Terminal and Lost and Found.
The purpose behind Saving Fashion was the idea, of literally, "saving fashion" - supporting the New York City fashion and design industry which has been "hit hard by the recession and nervous mood of consumers."
Bummer I wont be in nyc until mid-June, or I would be passing by everyday as a part of my commute. (although hopefully not).
