If you want to dress more like Nate, get hooked up with argyle print (vest or sweater), cable knits, striped dress shirts, ties, khakis, and blazers. He usually leaves his shirt buttons undone and keeps his ties loosened. Hes not too hard to model your costume over. Just walk into Jcrew and you shouldnt have a hard time picking an outfit out.

Chuck on the other hand, is much harder to emulate. He has a satorial sense and his wardrobe is obviously tailored. The colors and designs he wears are quite loud and much of his separates would clash in one way or another but he makes it work. He makes use of bowties, ascots, cuff links, suspenders, scarves, hankerchiefs and pocket squares because he just doesnt care. That, and hes a millionaire now, so who would say anything? Besides, all his stuff is designer. He takes on separates from Ralph Lauren, Hickey Freeman, Bandof Outsiders, Etro and a fusion of other designers and makes it his own. Entertainment Weekly didnt name Chuck Bass number one on their "Best Dressed TV Characters of 2008" list for nothing. Publications, blogs and endless fans have raved about his fashion sense (and yes, they do all understand that he's only a character). The Moment (the nytimes blog), addresses Chuck's fashion and even finds designers that are going for the very Upper East Side look. Some colleges even have Chuck Bass Fridays where students try and take after his style. Designer Eric Daman says,
"Bass goes beyond my personal style, I wish I had the money and youth to carry off his looks. It’s just un rĂªve (a dream) to dress a womanizing straight boy in such dandy apparel. I’ve read blogs from different colleges that actually have Chuck Bass Fridays. There is a whole movement behind him and his wardrobe which is sooo gratifying because, lets face it, men really should dress better. There is no one favourite look, I just try to keep him up to par each episode, which is no easy task."
The reason for this entry is a party that takes after Chuck Bass Fridays. Maybe it's something Blair would throw. Boldly named "Socialites' Soiree", this party challenges guests to dress as a socialite would to an exclusive Upper East Side after-dinner party. I dont know if laid-back LA can take on New York chic. Hopefully partygoers will be able to pull off what so many try, but fail, to do. As the invite says, "Everybody who's somebody will be there".
Whether or not thats true.. I dont know. I guess we'll find out on the upcoming episode.
As a friend cleverly put it..
Spotted: B and lil J teaching a little lesson.. you better stock up, because the girls and boys are thirsty.
xoxo.
