Curious Case Cont.

Enter text here.Thereafter Benjamin contrived to break something every day, but he did these things only because they were expected of him, and because he was by nature obliging.

This is just an interesting quote that caught my eye while reading The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, by Scott Fitzgerald (which can be found on googlebooks here: http://books.google.com/books?id=BhNmDyOZBxoC&pg=PA306&dq=benjamin+button&sig=ACfU3U3vKRO1qN8VtmntfNqkNyqoCDuSuQ#PPA279,M1)

The movie was very different from the short story. It seems like the screenwriter took the premise of the storyline and the title and came up with a different plot, character names and took the story to a different place. Usually, I enjoy stories/novels more than film adaptations, but I feel that the movie was much better than the text. The depth of the characters played by Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett made the movie. The short story was also much shorter a read than I thought it was going to be. There was a lot of room for interpretation.

Next film on to watch list: Doubt.
